Caregiving is one of the most important jobs there is, and we know it’s not always easy. Whether you're providing care yourself or managing a caregiver for a loved one, your dedication makes a difference every single day.
There are two main types of caregivers:
Professional caregivers are trained individuals who provide care as part of their job. This includes home health aides, nurses, therapists, direct support professionals, and hospice workers. They assist with medical needs, help with daily activities, and ensure the overall well-being of those in their care.
Family caregivers are those who step into the role without formal training or compensation—often balancing caregiving with work, parenting, or other responsibilities. They provide emotional and physical support to loved ones, helping with tasks such as mobility, meal preparation, medication management, and household responsibilities.
On this National Caregivers Day, we want to take a moment to acknowledge the work you do. Whether you're a professional caregiver or a family member stepping up to support someone you love, your role is invaluable. You help individuals remain in their homes, ease the burden on healthcare systems, and provide much-needed stability and care.
Thank you for everything you do—we’re honored to support you in this journey.
